Our Vision
Better Choice of Living to construct 10 Bedroom Bed and Breakfast with an innkeeper suite, Concert Hall with Recording Studio, Banquet Hall, and Wedding Chapel, two extensions that will include a conference room and an extension office space for four or five offices.
After its quarterly meeting, the board of directors of Better Choice of Living (BCOL), a 501 C(3) economic development organization [www.betterchoiceofliving.org], announced that it is seeking 10 acres of land in Montgomery County/Clarksville on which to construct four geodesic domes, each 95 feet in diameter (approximately 15,000 square feet, according to Steve Galloway, a general contractor licensed in Tennessee.
This complex of four domes will include (1) a 10-bedroom Bed and Breakfast with an innkeeper's suite, (2) a concert hall in which an up to date recording studio will also be included ("We need a place to showcase the talent developed within this community, whether they are performing Bach or Basie, B.B. King or BeBe Winans", says musician James Witherspoon, Music Director for BCOL..."They need a venue and we need a record-recording-of what they are doing."). The complex of domes will also include (3) a banquet hall wherein good food will be accentuated with grand service. There will also be (4) a chapel to accommodate weddings and other religious functions. The four hurricane resistant structures are connected by extensions that will provide conference rooms and offices. These extensions can serve as meeting places and offices for any other organization-nonprofit or not-that needs space and is willing to partner with BCOL for secure office and conference space. Groundbreaking for these buildings is scheduled for 2012. Interested entrepreneurs and organizations should contact Founder Doris Witherspoon, or CEO Rita Kendall, BCOL's President.
